What happens when I bring my watch in?
The watch is assessed at the bench, and a written condition report is prepared. We discuss findings and agree on scope, cost, and turnaround before any work begins. Nothing is assumed and nothing starts without your sign-off.
How long does a mechanical overhaul take?
Typically three to five weeks. The range depends on parts availability — some calibres require sourcing from overseas, which adds time. We will give you a specific estimate once the movement has been examined, and we update you if anything changes.
Which calibres do you work on?
Most Swiss and Japanese hand-wound and self-winding calibres. If you are unsure whether your piece falls within our scope, contact us with the make, model, and reference number and we will advise before you make any journey to the workshop.
Are prices fixed or subject to change?
The scope and price are agreed in writing before work starts. If something unexpected is found during teardown, we contact you to discuss it before continuing. The work does not proceed without your agreement to any change in scope or cost.
What does the 12-month coverage period cover?
The coverage applies to the labour performed during a mechanical overhaul. If the movement develops a fault related to the servicing within twelve months of collection, we will examine and address it at no additional labour charge. It does not cover damage from impact, water ingress through a compromised case, or parts that were not replaced during the service.
How does the Collection Care Programme work?
For owners of five or more pieces, the programme provides scheduled annual attention across the whole collection. We agree the scope in writing at the outset, inspect every piece during the year, maintain a digital record, and include one full movement service within the period. It is designed for owners who prefer planned upkeep rather than waiting for something to go wrong.
