Workshop Services
Three programmes. Each scoped to what the piece requires.
Mechanical overhaul, quartz movement care, and an annual collection programme. Scope and price agreed in writing before any work begins.
Back to HomeOur Approach
How every piece is handled.
Every service at Osmara Chime follows the same sequence of steps, regardless of which programme is being carried out. The sequence is designed to keep the owner informed and to prevent anything unexpected from happening to a piece without prior discussion.
For mechanical work, this means a written condition report at intake, a scope agreement before disassembly, photographic records at teardown and reassembly, and a timing result sheet returned with the watch. For quartz work, it means the correct cell, renewed gaskets, a circuit check, and pressure testing. For collection clients, it means a maintained digital record and scheduled annual attention across every piece.
Nothing in the scope is added after agreement, and the workshop does not begin work until the owner has confirmed they are satisfied with what has been proposed.
Intake and condition assessment
The piece is examined at the bench and findings are written up. For mechanical pieces, this becomes the condition report provided to the owner before any decision is made.
Scope and cost agreed in writing
The owner is presented with a written summary of what will be done and at what price. Work does not start until this is confirmed.
Work carried out at the bench
Servicing proceeds according to the agreed scope. If anything additional is found during teardown, the owner is contacted before the work continues.
Documentation returned with the piece
Condition notes, timing results, photographs (for mechanical work), and a record of parts replaced are compiled and returned with the watch at collection.

Across All Services
Standards that apply to every piece.
Nothing replaced without consent
Owners are contacted before any component is replaced, regardless of how straightforward the substitution might seem.
Client records kept securely
Contact details and watch records are held on a locally maintained system. Not shared with third parties. Retained only as long as needed.
Turnaround communicated upfront
An estimate is given at intake, and the owner is updated if that estimate changes due to parts availability or anything else.
Pricing
Clear, agreed before work starts.
